The Bacchante is the leader of a bizarre all-female orgiastic cult devoted to the god Dionysus (also called Bacchus, Zagreus or Liber). She and a large number of her maenad cohorts accosted and maimed a man in Simonson Park on August 23rd, 2012. While a number of her followers were apprehended by metahuman vigilantes, she remains at large. Though she seems to participate in arcane ritual, it is likely that her powers are metahuman in nature.
